Lot 806 Savage Model 99E .308 Win #1035398
American made lever action rifle chambered for .308 Winchester ammunition manufactured circa 1961 in Westfield, MA. It has a 20" blued barrel, blued receiver, dovetailed raised front blade/bead sight, adjustable sporter rear sight, lever lock, cocking indicator on tang, and serrated curved trigger. The furniture consists of a smooth handguard, a semi-pistol grip buttstock with a smooth wrist, and a ventilated rubber recoil pad. A two piece scope base is installed on the receiver with Weaver rings, and a Bushnell Sportview 4x32 scope is mounted to it (duplex reticle). The blue finish remaining is approximately 94% with minor edge wear, and minor scratches. The metal shows small scattered rust spots. Most of the case color is still on the lever, but shows some patina. The wood is excellent with superficial scratches and dings. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp.
